Inquiry Skills – Silent Card Shuffle!

Working on our Celebrate Australia inquiry, you used great collaboration skills to work together to do your silent card shuffle on “Aussie Foods”.You were all able to sort the cards into groups and then follow the lead of Saffi’s group to work out categories to be able to sort the cards into an ordered system.  Well done!

Remember, learning can be fun and you actually did a lot of higher order thinking in this activity – while you were having fun!  😎

Book Club!

This week will be Book Club #4!  Thank you to all our parents who are giving up their time to come in each week to lead students through book discussions.  Here are some photos of our sharing session at the end of Book Club.

Great work everybody!  You are learning to read with FLUENCY and expression and how to INFER MEANING!  These skills are really important when reading for meaning in Year 3!

Our Talented Musician!

Wow!  Emillie really impressed us with her guitar skills during her news session last week.  She has been playing the guitar since she was four years old and we enjoyed listening to her play and sing “Riptide” smoothly and confidently.  Great job, Emillie!  Enjoy listening to her on this video clip and post a positive comment for her. Mrs Veary 🙂
