Times Tables Tunes (Videos)

You have lots of fun activities to do during Computer in rotating groups today.  Follow from #1 to #2 to #3 and then you can do this one.  These are videos to help you learn your times tables.

To practise your times tables, I’ve put some video times tables tunes you can learn by singing along, into the pages at the top of your screen if you click on the = (3 lines) icon.  Then select Times Tables Videos.  Have a look and let me know how you go for 2x, 5x and 3x.

ROTATING MATHS GROUPS – Game #2 TIMES TABLES

Please note that you may need to enable Flash Player for some of these games.  Find a logon that works or skip those games it it won’t work for you, and go on to the next post or game.

Today in Rotating Maths Groups we will continue learning about multiplication.  This is number 2. of times tables activities. Computer will be practising their multiplication skills doing these activities:

1.   FLYING HIGH

2.  CONE CRAZY

3.  GRAND PRIX (a bit of a challenge for your times tables)

Work hard and have fun learning how to multiply!

Tuesday Maths

.Today when you are working at your Desks you will be doing these tasks: 1. You need to click on Maths Dictionary for Kids (on righthand sidebar) – then click on T for Time.  You need to write down 6 maths time facts on a piece of paper.  Then have a look around at 12 hour clock and 24 hour clock to learn more about time.

2. Then click on times tables and test yourself and record your scores.  Do your x2, x3, x5 and x10 before you test yourself on other times tables.  Challenge yourselves to do better and beat your own score!   🙂

3. Fast Finishers: click on Maths Tools – Telling Time Sqworl and do a few test runs to tell the time correctly on Bang On Time!

THURSDAY ROTATING MATHS GROUPS

The computer activity this morning is to practise your times tables and skip counting. HOVER YOUR MOUSE OVER THE LIGHT BLUE WORDS IN EACH NUMBER UNTIL YOU SEE THE HAND, THEN CLICK ON IT TO GET TO THE WEBSITE.  I want you to have another go at this one.

1.   Fishy 2s – count by 2s as quickly as you can to catch the fish.

2.   Moon Maths – try to get the answer to your times tables  as quickly as possible.

3.   Counting by 2s and 5s Connect the Dots to find unusual objects.

4.   Coins – this is American as they have a quarter which is a 25c coin.  Use this game to check your mental adding of coins as quickly as you can.  Try to beat the machine dropping coins.  The levels get harder and harder…
