Work for Friday 14 November

9:00 to 11:00

Maths:  There are two activities which need to be completed.  1.  Millilitres and Problem Solving (comparing 2L and 3L bottles…)  Students started this yesterday in rotating groups.  Please check and have ALL who have not completed it or understood it properly work with you in a big group to model how to go about solving it.  Please mark both sheets and discuss.  (focus on how many ml in a litre and make it real by referring to 1L milk bottles, 2L and 3L bottles and how many cups (250ml) you can get out of each.

2.  Eggstra Designers (focus is on multiples of 24).  A few students began this but I think only one did much on it.  They need to work out the multiples and colour in the arrays on the sheet.  Fast finishers can choose another number eg. 12 to do on spare sheets.

[Both sheets should be on my desk – under window and/or on table to left of my desk under window.]

SPELLING:  Students to work on their spelling contracts.  They have them and to do at least 2 more activities.  They know how to do this.
