OUR INQUIRY INTO THE PAST

As part of our Signicant Structures – Local and Global Inquiry, Room 6 students were hard at work plotting new structures and features on their maps of the school.

They have done a fabulous job creating questions for their Wonderings Wall, asking the questions that we will need to answer as we find out all about the history of our school buildings.

Congratulations to each and every one of you for your ‘higher order thinking’ this week and for thinking about your learning.  The BIG QUESTION we ended up deciding on is:

What CHANGES have happened to SIGNIFICANT LOCAL STRUCTURES – past, present and future?

Now we need to start the “Finding Out” part of our petite inquiry into our school buildings!  😎

BIG QUESTION CONGRATULATIONS! AND CELEBRATIONS!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL YOU WONDERFUL AND TALENTED STUDENTS IN ROOM 6:)

You have done a fantastic job learning to put your finding out information onto your own webpages in the wiki. It looks great! We will be showing it on Friday and we might show it to the Year 7s who are doing a Middle Ages Inquiry.

This Friday is our CLASSROOM CELEBRATION and we hope that lots of parents will be able to come back in time with us to the Middle Ages and the time of Fairytales….. We begin at 2.30 p.m. and remember to press on the time portal on the door of Room 6 and say the word ‘fairytales’… !

I’d love to hear your ideas about what you are going to wear or come as on Friday. Looking forward to lots of comments here.

TERM 3 INQUIRY

We will be finishing our inquiry FAIRYTALES AND THE MIDDLE AGES over the next four weeks.  Inquiry tasks are to continue with your INQUIRY CARDS and try to get through all the levels of thinking.  The big challenge is to complete our BIG QUESTION: Compare the lives/lifestyle of Nobles and Peasants in the Middle Ages on our brand new wiki – GO KIDS, YOU ARE AMAZING STUDENTS!
