THURSDAY MATHS

In Rotating Groups today the computer group will need to practise telling the time and volume (measuring the space inside a closed shape).

Have a go at all of these games.  Try to beat your own score with the clocks.

TIME:  This is the clock we’ve been practising on using the SmartBoard.  It’s called BANG ON TIME. http://resources.oswego.org/games/BangOnTime/clockwordres.html

Pull the hands of the clock to the correct times and check your score.  http://www.worsleyschool.net/socialarts/telling/time.html

VOLUME: Try to work out how many cubes will fill the entire box.  Then put them in and see if you were right. http://illuminations.nctm.org/ActivityDetail.aspx?ID=6
