- Letter from the Queen
Royal Envelope
Our class recently wrote personal letters to Queen Elizabeth II, inviting her to visit Margaret River and our school whilst in Perth for CHOGM. We have received letters back from the Director of CHOGM, Agent General for Government of Western Australia in London and, today we received a personal letter from Balmoral Castle. Unfortunately, the Queen is unable to accept our invitation but she was very touched with our letters. Here is a scanned copy of the letter we received and the Royal Mail envelope. Well done, everybody! You have shown how valuable a skill it is to be able to write letters to important people to express your ideas. I am very proud of your efforts. Mrs Veary 🙂
The Royal Seal on the Envelope
Hi MRS Veary I still can’t believe that we got a letter
from Queen Elizabeth II. 🙂
I know, pretty cool! Mrs Veary
It doesn’t really matter if the Queen couldn’t come, at least we wrote a letter to her and she wrote back.
We were very lucky, Mr K chose our class. He knew that we had the talent, he knew that we would be a success and he knew that we would try our best.
So what I’m trying to say here, is that you don’t always get your own way, at least you got a letter back. So not everyone is available whenever you want to see them or you need them.
You’re living your life and I am living my life.
SO THAT’S MY MESSAGE!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
SOFIA 🙂 🙂 🙂
Sofia – what very wise words from you 🙂 You are right. Every student put a lot of effort into his or her letter and the Queen has shown her appreciation. We would be some of the very few people in Western Australia to have had the Queen write to them. Mrs Veary 😎
I am glad we got a letter from the queen and that our letters got to the queen and like Sofia said it doesn’t really matter that the queen can’t come. At least she is going to Perth and we did get a letter back from her and Mr K saw it. 🙂
