CONGRATULATIONS!!!  You have now finished your first Spelling list, done your first spelling test, and handed in your first Spelling Workbook!  🙂

On Tuesday you will get back your tests, to write your mark out of 25 into your Take Home Spelling Booklet to show Mum and Dad. When you get your Workbook back, collect the stamps you have earned and put the workbook into your Inquiry or English spiral.

You will then need both books: Classroom Spelling List and Take-Home Spelling List books to get your second list and write in any words your could not spell correctly in your test or in your writing.  You will always end up with 25 words to learn and use in your workbook activities.

We are also going to try out another first today – a phonics dictation test.  This is an important skill (to hold some words in your head while you write them down) and it will show your spelling when you are writing. 🙂

It’s been a messy couple of weeks with people away and swimming etc. – so let’s make sure we all get as many tasks done as possible this fortnight (2 weeks)!

If you have not done your test or handed in your workbook because you were away on Thursday, please get that done as soon as possible, to be ready for your next list!  🙂
