CONGRATULATIONS!!

This week’s MERIT CERTIFICATE went to …..JOSIE!!!

for always being a friendly, helpful student and for your great computer skills using the Smartboard.  You are a star!

img_6502-smallI have been SO IMPRESSED by the reading all of you have been doing.  Today I gave out Reading Certificates for home reading and it was wonderful to see so many of you reading for over 100 nights!   We had some 125, 150, 175 and even…..200 nights!!  You guys rock!  🙂

Remember, the more you read:

  • the more words you learn to read and new words you put into your computer brains  (vocabulary)
  • the better you get at recognising the correct spelling of words
  • the more ideas you get for when you want to write a story
  • the better you get at reading!

(Phew!   That’s better!)

Celebration Magic!

Wow!   You guys rock!    I LOVED THE WAY YOU PRESENTED TO YOUR PARENTS AT YOUR CELEBRATION – THEY LOVED IT!!  yOU WERE CONFIDENT AND TALENTED AND YOU ALL SHOWED A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOUR!!  WELL DONE, EVERYBODY!  :lol: Mrs Veary

OUR CELEBRATION MAGIC SHOW

Magic_Show_ICONParents, please put a reminder in your diary or on your calendar that our class Celebration Magic Show will be next week on Thursday at 2.30 p.m.  Invitations will be coming home next week and I’m sure that you will have lots of enthusiastic magicians practising this weekend and scouring the dress-up box for ‘Magicians’ or “Wizard or Sorcerer” outfits.  Students can dress up as a modern magician or an olden days wizard with a wand.  This inquiry has focused on literature and this will be the drama and performance element.  We will rehearse our magic acts on Wednesday afternoon with PP1 as our eager audience.  🙂

AUSTRALIAN ANIMALS CELEBRATION!!

You were awesome on Friday!  I loved the way you looked like real Australian Animals and you spoke so well, sharing with your parents what you have learned during our inquiry.  I was proud of you all! 

THANK YOU to all parents for coming along to celebrate with your children. Thank you too to Jenny and Megan for the photos – much appreciated. Well done and enjoy the slideshow.

BIG QUESTION CONGRATULATIONS! AND CELEBRATIONS!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL YOU WONDERFUL AND TALENTED STUDENTS IN ROOM 6:)

You have done a fantastic job learning to put your finding out information onto your own webpages in the wiki. It looks great! We will be showing it on Friday and we might show it to the Year 7s who are doing a Middle Ages Inquiry.

This Friday is our CLASSROOM CELEBRATION and we hope that lots of parents will be able to come back in time with us to the Middle Ages and the time of Fairytales….. We begin at 2.30 p.m. and remember to press on the time portal on the door of Room 6 and say the word ‘fairytales’… !

I’d love to hear your ideas about what you are going to wear or come as on Friday. Looking forward to lots of comments here.
